José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe shows interest in signing Marcelo Brozović from Al-Nassr

Move could depend on Cristiano Ronaldo’s push for Hakan Çalhanoğlu at Al-Nassr

Fenerbahçe, led by Portuguese coach José Mourinho, have set their sights on signing Marcelo Brozović from Saudi club Al-Nassr. The 32-year-old Croatian midfielder, under contract until 2026, is seen as a key target to add experience and creativity to the Turkish side’s midfield.

Transfer Opportunity Linked to Al-Nassr Changes

The potential move comes amid speculation that Cristiano Ronaldo is pushing Al-Nassr to sign Hakan Çalhanoğlu from Inter Milan. Should the Turkish international join, Brozović’s place in the starting XI could be jeopardized, opening the door for a transfer.

Despite his consistent performances in Saudi Arabia, Brozović’s future may hinge on whether Çalhanoğlu arrives during the current transfer window.

Mourinho’s Interest and Previous Praise

Mourinho, known for valuing experienced midfield generals, has reportedly admired Brozović’s game for years. His presence in Istanbul could be a decisive factor, with the Portuguese manager making a strong case to Fenerbahçe’s board for a high-investment summer.

Affordable Market Value and Competition

According to Transfermarkt, Brozović’s market value stands at €10 million a figure considered reasonable for a player of his caliber and international experience.

Fenerbahçe are not alone in the race. Al-Hilal, Al-Shabab, and Trabzonspor have also been linked to the Croatian, but Mourinho’s sporting project and reputation could give the Istanbul club a decisive edge.
