Getafe leads the race for Robin Le Normand while Atlético Madrid considers partial sale of the defender

Interest in Robin Le Normand is heating up across La Liga, with Getafe emerging as the frontrunner to secure the 28-year-old’s signature. The Spanish defender, valued at €40 million (R$252.67 million), has also drawn attention from international clubs, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Atlético Madrid Plan to Retain 50% of Rights
While Atlético Madrid may consider a transfer, the club does not intend to relinquish full control over Le Normand’s future. The Colchoneros are reportedly prepared to sell only 50% of his rights a strategy they have successfully applied to players such as Alejandro Iturbe and Adrián Niño. This approach allows them to remain financially involved in any future moves.
Le Normand’s current contract runs until June 30, 2029, meaning any transfer would require substantial negotiations.
Simeone Yet to Decide
Head coach Diego Simeone has not made a final decision on Le Normand’s role for the upcoming season. Known for his preference for squad stability, Simeone may choose to keep the centre-back as part of his defensive setup, especially given the demands of competing on multiple fronts.
Until a decision is reached, Getafe remain in pole position, but the defender’s future will depend on whether Atlético’s board and Simeone align on the club’s summer transfer priorities.
