Manchester City reject Nottingham Forest’s multi-million dollar offer for Rico Lewis

Manchester City have rejected a €35 million offer from Nottingham Forest for right-back Rico Lewis, according to Foot Mercato. The bid, made last week, included €30 million fixed plus €5 million in potential add-ons but the Premier League champions swiftly declined.
Nottingham Forest’s Approach Rebuffed
Lewis, 19, has been a backup option for Pep Guardiola, with Matheus Nunes often preferred in the position. His representatives are reportedly concerned about limited playing time and have explored options for a transfer.
However, City see the England youth international as a long-term asset. The club believes Lewis will eventually take over the role on a permanent basis and are unwilling to part ways this summer.
Squad Changes Continue at City
This rejection comes amid significant squad reshuffling at the Etihad. City have already agreed to sell Jack Grealish and Kyle Walker to other Premier League clubs during the current transfer window, as Guardiola looks to refresh his lineup.
Despite being open to player sales, the club has made clear that Lewis is not for sale at least for now.
