Chelsea block Jackson’s move to Bayern Munich and await offers from Newcastle and Liverpool

Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson could still remain in the Premier League despite an agreement with Bayern Munich. According to English media, the London club has stalled the German side’s attempt to close a deal and is now waiting for potential offers from Newcastle or Liverpool.

Bayern deal on hold

The 24-year-old forward has already reached an agreement with Bayern, but negotiations between the clubs have hit a wall. The Bundesliga giants are pushing for a loan with an option to buy, while Chelsea insist on an immediate sale.

The Blues have set a price tag of around €70 million (R$510m), far higher than Bayern’s preferred structure. That stance has opened the door for Premier League rivals to step in.

Isak saga could open the door

The situation is closely linked to the Alexander Isak transfer saga. Liverpool are pressing Newcastle to release their star striker, with the Swedish international reportedly open to the move.

If Newcastle agree to sell Isak, they are expected to reinvest part of the funds in Jackson as a replacement. On the other hand, should Liverpool fail in their pursuit, they may turn directly to Chelsea for Jackson, giving the Blues the kind of financial proposal they are demanding.

Jackson’s record at Chelsea

Signed from Villarreal in 2023 for £30m, Jackson has been a regular part of Chelsea’s attack. In 81 matches for the club, he has scored 30 goals and provided 12 assists. Last season alone, he delivered 19 goal contributions in 37 games, showing flashes of the potential that attracted top European sides.

For the Senegal national team, he has 19 caps, with one goal and three assists.
