Casemiro receives new offer to swap Manchester United for Al-Nassr, but refuses

Casemiro has once again turned down the chance to swap European football for Saudi Arabia. According to GOAL journalist Raisa Simplicio, the 33-year-old Manchester United midfielder received a fresh proposal from Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s team, but made it clear that he intends to remain at Old Trafford.

Casemiro’s priority: United and Brazil

The Brazilian, who has already played two matches this season, believes staying in the Premier League is key to keeping his place in the national team as he targets the 2026 World Cup. Since Carlo Ancelotti took charge of Brazil, Casemiro has regained his starting spot, benefiting from the coach’s long-standing trust built during their shared success at Real Madrid.

Last season, he appeared in 42 games for United, scoring five goals and providing two assists. Despite ups and downs since arriving in England, Casemiro remains one of Erik ten Hag’s most trusted players in midfield.

Saudi interest persists

Saudi clubs continue to monitor Casemiro closely. Al-Nassr, which has already signed Kingsley Coman, João Félix and Iñigo Martínez this summer, views the midfielder as a high-profile addition to bolster its squad around Cristiano Ronaldo. However, the player’s refusal suggests that any move to the Middle East is unlikely before 2026.

Bruno Fernandes could still leave

While Casemiro has committed to Manchester United, teammate Bruno Fernandes is facing a different situation. The Portuguese midfielder has attracted strong interest from Al-Ittihad, where Karim Benzema plays, and could still leave before the transfer window closes.

For now, Casemiro remains fully focused on helping United bounce back in the Premier League while keeping his long-term sights set on the World Cup in North America.
