Barcelona’s Rashford says Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Dembélé deserve to win the Ballon d’Or

Marcus Rashford has quickly settled into life at Barcelona after joining on loan from Manchester United and he’s already made bold statements about his new teammates. Speaking to Sport, the striker praised Lamine Yamal, tipping the 18-year-old for the Ballon d’Or this year or in the near future.
Praise for Yamal’s Impact
“Lamine and this year’s Ballon d’Or? Yes, he should definitely win. If he doesn’t win this year, he will win it in the future. He’s certainly capable,” Rashford said.
The Englishman highlighted the teenager’s maturity and ability, drawing a comparison with a legend:
“The way he thinks and plays is way beyond his age. I haven’t played with or seen anyone with the impact Lamine Yamal has at 18… maybe only Ronaldo Nazario, El Fenómeno.”
Other Contenders Named by Rashford
Beyond Yamal, Rashford also mentioned Raphinha and Ousmane Dembélé (now at PSG) as worthy Ballon d’Or candidates:
“Yamal, Raphinha, and Dembélé they all deserve it. They had a very good season.”
