Barcelona is interested in taking Doué from PSG, but the relationship between the clubs is an obstacle

Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Warren Zaïre-Emery Doué, one of Paris Saint-Germain’s brightest young stars. The 20-year-old winger, a Champions League winner last season, has quickly become a key figure in Luis Enrique’s team and is seen by PSG as central to their long-term project.

The Catalan club’s idea is to pair Doué with Lamine Yamal, creating one of Europe’s most exciting attacking duos. However, two major obstacles stand in the way: PSG’s reluctance to sell and the strained relationship between the two clubs, which makes negotiations almost impossible. According to Gazeta Express, PSG are unwilling to consider offers for the player, reinforcing their stance that Doué is untouchable.

Breakthrough season at PSG

Signed from Rennes last year, Doué made an instant impact in Paris. In 61 appearances across all competitions, he registered 16 goals and 14 assists, directly contributing to 30 goals in his debut season. He also started in PSG’s UEFA Super Cup victory over Tottenham, further underlining his importance in the squad.

Barcelona’s transfer priorities

While Doué is a dream target, Barcelona are also working on other signings for the future. A key priority will be replacing veteran striker Robert Lewandowski, whose contract expires in 2026. Among the names on the shortlist are Atlético Madrid’s Julián Álvarez and Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, with the latter potentially costing less.

At the same time, Barça scouts are monitoring Villarreal’s rising star Etta Eyong, the Cameroonian youngster who scored on his La Liga debut and is already considered one of the most promising talents in Spanish football.
