Al-Ittihad is targeting Adrien Rabiot, who could return to Serie A and sign with Milan

Adrien Rabiot’s future has taken a new twist as AC Milan enter negotiations to sign the French midfielder, while Saudi giants Al-Ittihad continue to monitor the situation.

Rabiot Frozen Out at Marseille After Locker Room Clash

The 30-year-old has been placed on the transfer list by Olympique de Marseille following a heated disagreement with teammate Jonathan Rowe, which led coach Roberto De Zerbi to exclude both players from his immediate plans.

The fallout has left Rabiot unsettled in France, with his mother and agent, Véronique Rabiot, openly criticizing the club’s handling of the issue:

“A player like Adrien can’t be removed from the team because of an argument in the locker room. In football, everyone knows the truth is rarely told,” she said.

AC Milan Push Forward After Modric Signing

With his future at Marseille uncertain, AC Milan have entered the race. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Rossoneri have already held talks with Rabiot, with no involvement from Ismael Bennacer in negotiations.

The move would see Rabiot join a refreshed Milan midfield that already includes Luka Modric, who arrived from Real Madrid this summer, alongside Youssouf Fofana, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and youngster Ardon Jashari.

Milan opened their Serie A campaign with a shock home defeat to Cremonese, and Massimiliano Allegri is keen to add more depth to his midfield options.

Al-Ittihad Still Interested, But Waiting

While Milan push ahead, Al-Ittihad remain interested. The Saudi club, led by coach Jorge Jesus, is monitoring developments and has identified Rabiot as a key target to strengthen its midfield for the Saudi Pro League campaign.

For now, the player’s priority appears to be staying in European football, but with Al-Ittihad’s financial muscle, the saga could take another turn before the transfer window closes.
