Ajax shows interest in signing PSG midfielder Carlos Soler

Carlos Soler’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is once again uncertain. After returning from a loan spell at West Ham, where the English club opted not to trigger his buy clause, the 28-year-old Spanish midfielder has been told by PSG to seek a new destination.
Ajax open talks with PSG
According to reports, Ajax have emerged as the frontrunners to sign Soler. Negotiations are already underway for a loan deal with an obligation to buy a formula that appeals to both clubs. The Dutch side would also assume the player’s full salary, estimated at €4.8 million per year.
Spanish clubs also monitoring
While Ajax lead the race, Soler is also attracting interest from Atlético de Madrid and Villarreal, who continue to monitor developments. PSG, however, want clarity on his situation soon, as the midfielder is under contract until 2027 and remains outside Luis Enrique’s long-term plans.
Market value set at €18 million
According to Transfermarkt, Soler’s current market value stands at €18 million, which could serve as a benchmark for negotiations. The exact fee PSG are demanding to sanction a permanent move has not been revealed.
Decision expected this window
For Ajax, Soler represents a key reinforcement to strengthen their midfield ahead of the new campaign. The coming weeks of the transfer window will be decisive in determining whether the Spaniard heads to Amsterdam or considers a return to La Liga.
