Who Is Bryan Mbeumo? Meet Manchester United’s New Signing for 2025/26

Brentford star joins the Red Devils in big-money move ahead of the new Premier League season

Manchester United continue their squad rebuild under Rúben Amorim, and their latest signing is drawing attention across Europe. The Old Trafford club has secured the transfer of Bryan Mbeumo, a 25-year-old French winger who stood out at Brentford in recent seasons.

According to reports from the English and Brazilian press, United reached a full agreement with Brentford for the player’s transfer. The deal is valued at R$484 million, with potential bonuses taking the total to R$528 million a strong investment in attacking depth.

Mbeumo’s Impressive Premier League Numbers

Mbeumo has developed into one of the most consistent wide players in the Premier League since joining Brentford in 2019. Last season alone, he registered 20 goals and 8 assists in 42 appearances, showcasing his pace, positioning, and attacking intelligence.

In the 2023/24 campaign, he featured in 27 matches, contributing 9 goals and 6 assists, proving himself once again as a reliable option in the final third despite Brentford’s inconsistent form.

Amorim’s Project and Mbeumo’s Role

Under new manager Rúben Amorim, Manchester United aim to re-establish themselves among Europe’s elite after a disappointing previous season. Mbeumo arrives to strengthen the flanks, offering a direct and high-energy profile to complement United’s attack.

He could line up alongside Matheus Cunha, another recent signing, who operates more centrally as a second striker or attacking midfielder. With Bruno Fernandes staying despite interest from Saudi Arabia, Amorim now has multiple attacking options to build around.

Jadon Sancho Nearing Juventus Exit

Mbeumo’s arrival may also indicate a changing of the guard on the wings at United. Jadon Sancho is reportedly nearing a move to Juventus, and the French international is seen as a ready-made replacement in terms of impact and productivity.
