Real Betis Targets Antony and Dani Ceballos to Bolster Squad for 2025/26 Season

Real Betis is working behind the scenes to complete two major signings ahead of the new La Liga season, eyeing Manchester United’s Antony and Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos as top targets. Despite financial limitations, the Seville-based club is optimistic about landing both players.

Dani Ceballos Open to Real Betis Return

According to The Athletic, Dani Ceballos is open to leaving Real Madrid this summer, and Real Betis could bring him back for around €10 million (R$63 million) a figure well within the club’s budget. While no formal offer has been made yet, discussions are expected to intensify in the coming days.

Ceballos would add creativity and experience to Manuel Pellegrini’s midfield, offering versatility and La Liga know-how. The player is also familiar with the club, having started his professional career at Betis.

Antony Prefers Betis Despite Interest From Atlético Madrid

Antony has also given a positive signal to Betis, with the Brazilian winger reportedly keen on returning to Spain, where he recently rediscovered his best form. Despite interest from Atlético Madrid, the player prefers Real Betis out of gratitude and belief in the team’s competitive project under Pellegrini.

The major hurdle? Manchester United’s asking price, which exceeds €40 million (R$261 million) a sum Betis currently cannot match. Still, Betis hopes to use the player’s willingness as leverage to negotiate favorable terms or even a loan deal with a buy option.

Betis Pushing to Finalize Reinforcements Before La Liga Kickoff

With La Liga set to begin in about a month, Manuel Pellegrini is pushing for early signings to integrate new players during pre-season. After finishing sixth in La Liga and runners-up in the UEFA Conference League, Betis is aiming higher in 2025/26.

Adding Antony and Ceballos would significantly raise the club’s ceiling and deepen the squad ahead of a busy campaign that includes European commitments.
