Luis Díaz Agrees to Join Bayern Munich Amid Barcelona and Al Nassr Interest

Four-year deal with €14 million salary brings Colombian closer to Bundesliga switch

Bayern Munich have reached a full agreement with Luis Díaz on personal terms, beating out competition from Barcelona and Al Nassr for the Liverpool winger. According to Sport Bild journalist Tobi Altschäffl, the Colombian forward has agreed to a four-year contract running until June 2029, with a base salary of approximately €14 million per year, excluding bonuses.

Bayern Move Close as Talks With Liverpool Expected

The German champions are now preparing for direct negotiations with Liverpool to finalize the transfer. A formal meeting between the clubs is expected soon, as Bayern aims to wrap up the signing swiftly during the current transfer window.

Although Barcelona were also interested in Díaz, their pursuit stalled due to financial constraints and a lack of formal negotiation. Al Nassr from Saudi Arabia reportedly pushed by Cristiano Ronaldo also tried to attract Díaz, but the player prioritized staying in top-tier European football.

Liverpool Already Rejected Two Bids

Liverpool have already turned down two formal bids from Bayern Munich. The first was reportedly worth €52 million, while the second offer rose to €67.5 million, according to multiple reports. The Reds have made it clear they value the player highly but may consider selling if Bayern meets their asking price.

Luis Díaz joined Liverpool in the 2021–22 season from FC Porto and is under contract until 2027. Last season, he featured in 50 matches, scoring 17 goals and providing five assists, becoming one of the team’s most reliable attacking threats under Jürgen Klopp.

Díaz Made Exit Desire Clear

The 27-year-old winger has expressed a clear desire to leave Liverpool this summer, seeking a new challenge in European football. Barcelona had been his preferred destination, but Bayern Munich’s financial muscle and clear project under Vincent Kompany appear to have turned his head.

With personal terms agreed, the focus now shifts to Liverpool’s final decision on whether to cash in on one of their key players or stand firm and retain him for another season.
