Garnacho expresses interest in continuing in the Premier League and Chelsea emerges as the likely destination

Argentine star keen to remain in England amid transfer talks
Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has made it clear he wants to remain in the Premier League for the 2025 season, with Chelsea emerging as the most likely destination, according to multiple reports.
The 20-year-old Argentine is not in Manchester United’s future plans, and the club is actively exploring ways to offload him during the current transfer window.
Napoli interest fades as player prioritizes England
Despite interest from Serie A side Napoli, who made several approaches in recent months, Garnacho has reportedly turned down the idea of moving to Italy. His decision to stay in England has halted negotiations with the Italian club, which had been among the frontrunners for his signature.
Chelsea only Premier League club in the running
According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Garnacho has already informed United’s hierarchy that his preference is to continue playing in the Premier League. At present, Chelsea are the only English club actively monitoring his situation.
The Blues have long admired the young winger, particularly amid the uncertainty surrounding Ukrainian forward Mykhailo Mudryk, who is facing a possible suspension. Garnacho is viewed as a potential long-term replacement.
Chelsea stalling as they pursue Xavi Simons
While Chelsea remain interested in Garnacho, the club is not currently prioritizing his signing. Sources close to the negotiations indicate that the club’s immediate focus is on finalising a deal for Dutch star Xavi Simons, whose transfer talks are already at an advanced stage.
Only after that negotiation is settled are the Blues expected to revisit Garnacho’s case, though no formal bid has been submitted yet.
