Striker could leave Al-Hilal after problems behind the scenes; fans push for reunion

The possible return of Malcom to Corinthians has sparked a wave of excitement among fans on social media. The movement gained further traction when Esportes da Sorte, a sponsor of the São Paulo club, posted a message online:

“Fiel, do you want Malcom back?”

The question, posed amid rumors of unrest involving the forward at Al-Hilal, ignited speculation about a potential reunion between the club and the academy product.

Problems at Al-Hilal

According to Asharq Al-Awsat, Malcom is reportedly unhappy in Saudi Arabia and has been causing issues on and off the field. The situation escalated last Friday (July 4), when the player argued with fans in Arabic following Al-Hilal’s 2–1 defeat to Fluminense, which eliminated the team in the Club World Cup quarterfinals.
Sources indicate that the Brazilian wants to leave the club, and the tension behind the scenes is growing.

Fans React & Sponsor Fuels Speculation

Following the sponsor’s social media post, Corinthians supporters quickly mobilized, voicing overwhelming support for Malcom’s return. Many fans even called on Esportes da Sorte to financially support a potential move.

“Help bring him back!” – wrote one fan, echoing the sentiments of many across platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.

Malcom: “I want to finish my career at Corinthians”

This isn’t the first time Malcom has expressed a desire to return. In an interview with Band in January, the forward declared:

“I want to finish my career at Corinthians.”

The 27-year-old was developed in the club’s youth system and promoted to the senior team in 2014. During his time with the Timão, he played 70 matches, scored 10 goals, and delivered 5 assists before moving to Europe.

Al-Hilal Career & Contract Details

Malcom joined Al-Hilal in 2023 after a €60 million transfer from Zenit St. Petersburg, a deal that made headlines as one of the most expensive involving a Brazilian at the time.

Performance at Al-Hilal:

  • 98 matches
  • 37 goals
  • 31 assists
  •  Titles: Saudi League, King’s Cup, Saudi Super Cup

Despite solid numbers, recent tensions may force an early exit.
