Borussia Dortmund eyeing Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard in summer transfer window

German giants consider move for Belgian forward amid stiff competition at Emirates

Borussia Dortmund have shown interest in signing Leandro Trossard from Arsenal, according to Sky Sport Germany. The Bundesliga club is actively looking to bolster its attacking options and sees the Belgian winger as a viable addition to its squad ahead of the new season.

Arsenal open to offers for Trossard

The 30-year-old forward is under contract with Arsenal until June 2026, but the Gunners are reportedly open to negotiating his departure if a suitable offer arrives. Trossard faces heavy competition for minutes under Mikel Arteta, making a move away from North London a real possibility this summer.

Player valued at €22 million, Arsenal want closer to €25M

According to Transfermarkt, Trossard holds a market value of approximately €22 million. However, Arsenal would only consider a transfer if the offer is closer to €25 million, in line with their internal valuation. The Belgian joined the club in January 2023 after impressing with Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.

Bayern Munich and Fenerbahçe also monitoring

Borussia Dortmund are not alone in their pursuit. Bayern Munich have also expressed interest in the winger, although no formal offer has yet been submitted. Additionally, Fenerbahçe keen to add experienced international players to its squad has been linked with a potential move.

Despite multiple clubs monitoring his status, no advanced talks have been confirmed as of now. However, that could change rapidly as the European season draws near and clubs finalize their transfer business.

Trossard’s future hinges on playing time

Trossard has not publicly commented on his future, but sources close to the player suggest that playing time and the sporting project will be decisive factors in any potential move. If Arsenal cannot guarantee regular appearances, the Belgian may be tempted to join a club where he would play a more central role.

With interest growing and Arsenal willing to do business at the right price, the coming weeks could prove pivotal in determining Trossard’s next destination.
