Liverpool dreams of signing Vinicius Júnior from Real Madrid for €130 million

Liverpool is reportedly preparing a record-breaking €130 million (R$844 million) offer to sign Vinícius Júnior from Real Madrid, according to Spanish outlet Defensa Central. The proposal comes amid uncertainty surrounding the Brazilian star’s contract renewal with the Spanish giants.
Two-Part Offer Includes Performance Bonuses
The deal would reportedly consist of €100 million in fixed payment and €30 million in bonuses based on performance targets. This approach mirrors the Reds’ recent successful signing of Florian Wirtz, which also exceeded the €100 million mark.
Vinícius Júnior’s current deal with Real Madrid runs until 2027, but reports suggest negotiations for a new contract have stalled due to differences over salary demands.

Why Liverpool Want Vinícius Júnior
Liverpool is targeting the 24-year-old winger amid the expected departure of Luis Díaz, who has shown interest in leaving Anfield this summer. The club views Vinícius as a marquee signing capable of boosting their attacking options and reasserting their position in the global transfer market.
There is also a symbolic motive behind the push: Liverpool is reportedly still stung by the free transfer of Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid earlier this season and views the move for Vinícius as a form of market “revenge”.
Real Madrid’s Position and Vini Jr’s Loyalty
Despite Liverpool’s interest, Vinícius Júnior remains fully committed to Real Madrid. The Brazilian has rejected lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia and has made it clear that he loves the club. With 322 appearances, 106 goals, and 83 assists, he has become one of Madrid’s key figures since arriving in 2018.
Even so, the reported gap between his contract expectations and Real Madrid’s current offer has raised concern within the club’s leadership.
Liverpool’s Ambitious Transfer Plans Continue
Vinícius Júnior is not the only name on Liverpool’s summer shortlist. The Merseyside club is also monitoring Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku, as they continue to reshape their squad under Arne Slot.
The Reds’ aggressive strategy in the transfer market signals their intent to compete with Europe’s elite following recent exits and a new managerial era.
