What’s at Stake?

Both clubs are mathematically eliminated from the tournament after defeats to Manchester City and Juventus. Now, Wydad Casablanca and Al Ain are playing for pride and to avoid finishing bottom of Group G.

Wydad Casablanca (Coach: Amine Benhachem)

Wydad are looking to secure their first-ever win in Club World Cup history. Despite being eliminated, there’s motivation to end on a positive note. Thembinkosi Lorch, who scored Wydad’s only goal in the tournament, will be a key figure again. Mohamed Rayhi, top scorer in the local league, could be a surprise starter.

Probable Wydad XI:

Benabid; Moufi, Meijers, Boutouil, Ferreira, Moufid; Amrabat, Malsa, El Moubarik, Lorch; Unlucky

Al Ain (Coach: Vladimir Ivic)

Al Ain entered the competition with a long unbeaten run, but reality hit hard after conceding 11 goals in two games, including a 6-0 loss to Manchester City. Despite the poor campaign, Soufiane Rahimi remains their main threat. Coach Ivic is expected to rotate the squad, with Rui Patrício potentially returning in goal.

Probable Al Ain XI:

Rui Patrício; Autonne, Park, Rabia; Traoré, Nader, Palacios, Chadli; Kaku; Laba, Rahimi
