Despite a Round of 16 exit, Botafogo ends its Club World Cup journey with a millionaire payday from FIFA.
On Saturday (June 28), Botafogo’s run in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup came to an end after a narrow 1–0 loss to Palmeiras in Philadelphia. Though the result halted their progress, the Glorioso will return to Brazil with a major financial reward: more than US$26.71 million, roughly R$146.5 million at the current exchange rate.
