Internacional missed three penalties, but beat Maracanã and advanced in the Brazilian Cup

Internacional beat Maracanã 3-0 and advanced to the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil. Alan Patrick, Wesley and Oscar Romero scored for Colorado, who also missed three penalty kicks.
FIRST HALF
Even though they were visitors, Internacional started dominating the action. The first chance came at 11 minutes, with Bernabéi, who crossed, the ball deflected off Mandacaru and fell into Rayr’s net. Bruno Henrique also took a shot and almost hit the corner. Inter lost defender Victor Gabriel at 25 minutes, who was replaced by Juninho. At 31 minutes, Internacional were awarded a penalty. After a video review, Edna scored a handball in Wilker’s area when she blocked Ricardo Mathias’ header. Alan Patrick chipped the ball and Rayr saved it. In injury time, Ricardo Mathias hit the post at 49 minutes.
SECOND HALF
After the break, Inter finally managed to break through the Ceará defense. In the 4th minute, Alan Patrick took a free kick with precision and Rayr didn’t even move. Inter 1-0. In the 16th minute, another penalty. Wesley took the shot to the right corner and Rayr stretched to save it. On the rebound, the striker sent it wide. In the 24th minute, the third penalty was awarded in the match. Alan Patrick went to take it and hit the crossbar. But in the 27th minute, Colorado sealed their place in the round of 16 with Wesley, who scored the second goal of the game, lobbing the Maracanã goalkeeper. The third goal came in the 40th minute. Romero controlled the ball, adjusted it and kicked it into the corner of Rayr’s goal.
PENALTY TAKER
If goalkeeper Rayr had already saved a penalty from Alan Patrick in the first leg, in the second leg he made another save, saving a chipped shot from the Colorado midfielder. Rayr also saved a second penalty, this time from Wesley, in the second half. However, the saves did not save Maracanã from elimination.
