Famalicão beats Casa Pia in the Portuguese League in the last game of the season
Vila Nova de Famalicão, Braga, 16 May 2025 (Lusa) — Famalicão beat Casa Pia 2-1 today, in the 34th and final round of the I Football League, and overtook their rivals in the table, finishing the championship in seventh place.
In Vila Nova de Famalicão, Frenchman Simon Elisor, in the 37th and 72nd minutes, scored the goals for the home team, who returned to winning ways after four games without victories, while Spaniard Larrazabal, in the 54th minute, scored the goal for the Lisbon team.
With this result, Famalicão ends the season in seventh place, with 47 points, two more than Casa Pia, who can still be overtaken in eighth place by Estoril Praia, ninth, with 43, and who play on Saturday.
