End of the soap opera: Conte stays in Naples
The Italian will continue to lead the current Italian champion.

He’s staying. Antonio Conte will remain in charge of Napoli for the 2025-26 season despite all the rumors that have surfaced in recent days. The Italian coach, who won the Scudetto last Friday with the southern Italian team, has agreed to terms to continue with Aurelio De Laurentiis, owner of the Neapolitan club. He announced the deal on his social media.
“Full speed ahead. Stronger than before!” wrote a beaming ADL, who was able to keep Conte… and who didn’t bolt as he did at Inter, or as happened with Luciano Spalletti two years ago, when they won the third Scudetto in the Neapolitan team’s history.
Full speed ahead. Stronger than before!Aurelio De Laurentiis
De Laurentiis, however, has had to up the ante: to convince him, he offered Conte a salary increase over the €6 million plus bonus he already earns. He has also promised multi-million-pound investments in signings beyond the arrivals of De Bruyne and Jonathan David as free agents.
Conte, let’s remember, already had a contract until June 2027 but had been tempted by Juventus, who wanted him back. His current situation, however, lies in the south.
