Chelsea win away with Colwill goal, Forest go to Conference League

CHELSEA WINS!
Chelsea are through to next season’s Champions League. In the head-to-head clash with Nottingham Forest, Colwill was the hero and scored the winning goal in a 1-0 victory. Forest will secure a spot in the Conference League.
THE GAME
In a duel between two teams seeking a place in the Champions League, no one deserved to win in the first half. It was a 45 minutes of little excitement and rare clear chances to score.
Forest had the best chances of the first half, but Chelsea fought back in the second half. Under pressure, Colwill scored the only goal of the game in the 5th minute. Chelsea qualified for the Champions League.
THE VACANCIES
With the victory, Chelsea secured a place in the Champions League along with Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Newcastle and Tottenham. Aston Villa and Crystal Palace will play in the Europa League, and Nottingham Forest will play in the Conference League.
WARMING UP FOR THE FINAL
In addition to securing a spot in the Champions League, Chelsea will also gain confidence ahead of Wednesday’s final. In the Conference League final, the London team will face Real Betis for the title.
