Bayern Munich fans are having a very special Saturday. Playing at home, the Bavarian team beat Borussia Mönchengladbach 2-0 in a festive match that marked the farewell of idol Thomas Müller from the Allianz Arena and also marked the handover of the 34th Bundesliga trophy in the club’s history, and the first trophy of Harry Kane’s career.

The English center forward scored the first goal of the match, in the first half, in the 31st minute. Without any difficulties, the team coached by Vincent Kompany controlled the victory well until the end and even extended their lead in the 44th minute of the second half, with Olise. Bayern thus reached 79 points in the league table. After the final whistle, a huge party began to celebrate the title.

Tributes to Thomas Müller

Before the ball started rolling, the fans and the club paid tribute to Müller. This was the 35-year-old’s last match in front of Bayern fans in Munich. He recently announced his departure after 25 years wearing the Bayern jersey. In the announcement, he made it clear that this was a decision made by Bayern Munich. Müller will sign a contract extension to play in the Club World Cup in the middle of the year

Thomas Müller joined Bayern Munich in 2000, when he was 10 years old, and joined the youth ranks. From there, he progressed through the lower teams until making his debut for the first team in the 2008/09 season. Since then, he has played 748 games for the Bavarian team, scoring 248 goals and providing 221 assists for the only club in the striker’s professional career. The star has won 32 titles with Bayern, including two Champions Leagues, two Club World Cups and 12 Bundesligas.
