Arsenal beats Newcastle in the Premier League and secures a place in the Champions League
Gunners beat Magpies for the first time this season.

The Arsenal hosted and beat Newcastle 1-0 this Sunday in the 37th and penultimate round of the Premier League. For the first time this season, the Gunners defeated the Magpies and secured 2nd place in the championship, behind champions Liverpool.
The key moment of the match came in the second half. In the 55th minute, midfielder Declan Rice sealed the match with a great shot from the edge of the box, leaving Nick Pope with no chance.
In the 75th minute, Mikel Arteta’s team received some good news, with the return of forward Kai Havertz to the pitch.
For the third consecutive season, Arsenal (71 points) finishes in second place in the Premier League. Newcastle, in turn, occupies third place, with 66 points and is not yet guaranteed to continue in the Champions League in 2025/26.
