Guardiola comments on Grealish attack: «We live in a crazy world…»
The Spanish coach regretted what happened in the Manchester derby, in which the winger was slapped by a fan, and also the insulting chants towards Foden

Guardiola commented on the mental state of Phil Foden and Jack Grealish , who had problems with Manchester United fans during and after the derby last weekend. The winger was attacked and the compatriot was the target of insulting chants from Manchester rivals towards his mother.
“We live in a crazy world. I’m referring to everything that’s happening around us, not just things in sports. It’s not about United or any other specific club. This happens everywhere. I don’t think we’re on the right track. They don’t feel well, but they move on,” he began by saying, in a press conference ahead of the duel with Crystal Palace , at the Etihad.
The coach also regretted the absences of defenders Akanji , Stones and Aké , all still injured, at a critical moment in the season in which the team is fighting for access to the UEFA Champions League : «This happened throughout the season and we adapted. It can be seen as a problem or as a challenge, as a catastrophe or as ‘it could be worse’. I am pleased with the way we handled the situation.»
«Qualification? In our situation, it would be better if there were five vacancies, but there are seven or eight candidates for these positions. The fight will be until the last moment. Our defenders are out, our best striker is out… We have no squad. Tomorrow we face a team that has been in great form over the last two months. It’s always difficult for us against Palace at home. However, we have to be optimistic and believe that we will finish the season well,” he said.
Finally, when asked about Mohamed Salah ‘s contract renewal , he assured that it is good news… for Liverpool : «It’s good. You have to ask Arne Slot and the Liverpool fans . Of course, there is no doubt about Salah’s quality.»
