Barcelona beats Mallorca and increases its lead in Laliga
Dani Olmo scores the only goal of the game, 45 seconds into the second half

Summary
Even with a team full of improvisations and rested players, Barcelona won 1-0 against Mallorca. The narrow result does not reflect the massacre that Hansi Flick’s team inflicted on the opponent. The Catalans shot on goal 40 times. Dani Olmo scored the only goal of the match.
The first half was a complete rout for Barcelona, but goalkeeper Leo Román stood out. Olmo, Araújo, Yamal and Gavi all had great chances, and the Catalans went into the break with an impressive 24-0 lead in shots on goal.
If in the first half, Leo Román was Mallorca’s star player, in the second half he could do nothing to prevent the game’s winning goal, scored after 45 seconds. Eric García gave a great pass to Dani Olmo, who, with his left foot, hit it perfectly.
Barcelona kept up the pace, saw Mallorca pose a threat with just one header, and wasted a ton of chances. The most impressive was missed by Yamal, right at the end of the game.

Pedri leads the mixed team
Hansi Flick, with his sights set on the Copa del Rey final, which will be played on Saturday in Seville, rested several players. He was without the injured Lewandowski and Balde and also left Koundé, Cubarsí, Gerard Martín, De Jong and Raphinha on the bench. But he had Pedri on a very inspired day. The number 8 didn’t provide any assists or score, but he played incredibly well and ended up being named man of the match. In the second half, he made a cinematic pass to Yamal, but the youngster didn’t take advantage and missed an incredible chance.
