Real Madrid beat Leganes in a difficult game

Logic prevailed in the duel between one of the big contenders for the title and one of the teams threatened with relegation, but there was no shortage of excitement. Real Madrid worked hard to win 3-2 against Leganés. They opened the scoring with a dubious penalty, were turned around, but managed to make their game count in the final stage and secure the three points. Scorers of Real’s goals, Mbappé and Bellingham were the stars of the game.
Real Madrid dominated the first half, had 76% possession and had plenty of shots on goal (11-4). Two very quick attacking transitions ended up putting Leganés ahead, with goals from Diego García and Dani Raba.
In the second half, Bellingham, who had already been playing great in the first half, scored twice after a minute and a half to tie the game at 2-2. Real Madrid went on the attack, but Ancelotti had to bring the Brazilians in to decide the game. Rested before the ball started rolling, Rodrygo and Vini Jr. came on in the 16th minute. The number 11 was crucial to the victory. In the 29th minute, he ran with the ball and was brought down at the edge of the area. Mbappé, in a rehearsed play with Fran García, threatened to shoot, dismantled the wall and, after receiving the ball from Fran, scored a great goal.
The result was fair, Real Madrid were better, but they suffered a lot. Ancelotti’s team now has the same 63 points as leaders Barcelona, but with one more game, a much lower goal difference and a disadvantage in the head-to-head.

Real Madrid return to action next Tuesday, in the Copa del Rey semi-final against Real Sociedad, at the Bernabéu, at 4:30 pm Brasília time. In the first leg, Real won 1-0. In LaLiga, Ancelotti’s team faces Valencia next Saturday, also at home, in the 30th round, at 11:15 am Brasília time.
Leganés will only return to the field on April 7th, for the 30th round of LaLiga. They will play at home against Osasuna, at 4 pm (Brasília time).
Mbappé is close to Lewandowski
Real Madrid’s big name alongside Bellingham this Saturday, Mbappé reached 22 goals in the Spanish Championship and tied with Lewandowski, LaLiga’s top scorer with 23. The Frenchman has 33 goals for Real Madrid in his first season. He’s playing great!
