The Women’s Super League (WSL) returned in 2026 with Round 12 of the 2025/26 season, delivering decisive victories for the title contenders and a tightly contested draw in one of English football’s biggest rivalries.

The round featured the Manchester United vs Arsenal classic, alongside key matches involving Manchester City and Chelsea, both of whom strengthened their positions near the top of the table.

Manchester City Stay Top With Brazilian on the Scoresheet

League leaders Manchester City continued their outstanding form with a 2–0 home victory over Everton on Sunday (11), retaining first place in the standings.

The goals were scored by Brazilian forward Kerolin and Dutch star Vivianne Miedema, sealing City’s 11th consecutive win in the competition. The result further underlined City’s consistency and attacking strength as they push toward the title.

Chelsea Cruise Past West Ham in London Derby

Chelsea also enjoyed a dominant afternoon, thrashing West Ham 5–0 in a one-sided London derby. The result keeps the Blues firmly in second place and within touching distance of the league leaders.

The goals came from an own goal by Yu Endo, along with strikes from Lauren James, Alyssa Thompson, and a brace from Sandy Baltimore. Chelsea now sit on 27 points from 12 matches, confirming their strong start to the season.

Arsenal and Manchester United Share the Points

The headline fixture of the round ended without goals. Arsenal and Manchester United played out a 0–0 draw in a match that had implications for third place in the WSL table.

Despite chances at both ends, neither side managed to break the deadlock in a tightly contested encounter.
