PSG beat Lens and Barcola scores twice and maintains 100% record in Ligue 1

Paris Saint-Germain extended their perfect start to the season with a 2-0 victory over Lens at Parc des Princes, thanks to two goals from Bradley Barcola. The result keeps Luis Enrique’s side top of Ligue 1 with 12 points from four matches, while Lens remain mid-table on six.

Barcola Opens the Way Early

PSG wasted no time asserting control. In the 15th minute, Vitinha won possession high up the pitch and released Barcola, who struck a powerful shot from the edge of the box to make it 1-0.

The hosts pressed for a quick second. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia squandered a golden chance after another Vitinha pass, while Lens nearly punished PSG on the break when Thauvin’s cross was cleared by Zabarnyi.

The visitors grew into the game late in the half, with Thauvin again going close with a header just before the break.

Barcola Seals It After the Interval

PSG restarted with intensity and doubled their advantage in the 50th minute. Barcola once again found space outside the area and curled a brilliant effort into the net for his second goal of the night.

Lens attempted a reaction through Thauvin, Sima, and Fofana, but their finishing lacked accuracy. Donnarumma’s defense was rarely in real danger, as PSG managed the lead comfortably.
