Barcelona decides to pay €60 million to sign Harry Kane from Bayern Munich

Barcelona has decided to prioritize Harry Kane as the replacement for Robert Lewandowski, preparing an investment of €60 million (R$379 million) to bring the Bayern Munich striker to Camp Nou.

Harry Kane, Barcelona’s New Target

With Nico Williams renewing his contract with Athletic Club, Barcelona shifted its focus to a proven world-class striker. According to FC Barcelona Noticias, Joan Laporta and Hansi Flick consider Harry Kane the ideal successor to Lewandowski, who is approaching the final years of his career.

The Catalan club plans to repeat the strategy used when signing Lewandowski, who also left Bayern Munich to wear the Blaugrana shirt.

Negotiation Strategy With Bayern Munich

Kane is under contract with Bayern until June 2027, but Barcelona believes 2026 will be the right time to negotiate. By then, the striker will have just one year left on his deal, which could force the German club to sell at a lower price.

  • Planned investment: €60 million (R$379 million)
  • Budget source: funds initially reserved for Nico Williams

Barcelona’s board is reportedly optimistic, seeing Kane as a short-term solution to maintain elite goalscoring power.

Harry Kane’s Numbers at Bayern

Since joining from Tottenham, Kane has been one of the most lethal strikers in European football. His stats in Germany are extraordinary:

  • 99 matches played
  • 91 goals scored
  • 25 assists provided

In the current season alone, the English forward has already netted six goals in three games, reinforcing his status as Bayern’s attacking leader.

Bayern’s Plans in the Transfer Market

While Barcelona prepares its move, Bayern Munich is also restructuring its attack. Reports suggest the German club has reached an agreement with Nicolas Jackson, with only final details pending with Chelsea.
