Al-Nassr is interested in signing Ricardo Mathias, Internacional’s striker

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr has set its sights on 19-year-old Internacional striker Ricardo Mathias, one of Brazil’s brightest prospects.
Saudi Giants Target Brazilian Wonderkid
According to GE, Al-Nassr is monitoring Ricardo Mathias, although Internacional denies receiving any formal approach so far. The teenager has recently become a starter under coach Roger Machado, impressively benching high-profile forwards Rafael Borré and Enner Valencia.
Manchester United Also Monitored Mathias
The Brazilian talent was previously scouted by Manchester United, but negotiations never advanced. Since breaking into the first team, Mathias has scored 4 goals in 15 appearances, catching the attention of both European and Middle Eastern clubs.
Youth Policy Driving Saudi Interest
Saudi clubs are not just signing global stars; they’re also targeting young talent. Saudi Pro League rules now require two of each club’s 10 foreign players to be under 21.
Al-Nassr has already signed young Brazilians such as Ângelo (20), while rivals Al-Hilal brought in Kaio César and Marcos Leonardo although their futures remain uncertain.
Mathias’ National Team Credentials
Ricardo Mathias also has youth international experience with Brazil. He featured in the U-20 South American Championship, scoring once in two appearances.
Al-Nassr Chasing First Trophy of the Season
Cristiano Ronaldo’s side is preparing for the Saudi Super Cup Final against Al-Ahli, scheduled for Saturday (23) at 9:00 a.m. Brasília time, before the Saudi League kicks off.
