Xabi Alonso punishes Dani Ceballos after indiscipline at Real Madrid

Midfielder’s indiscipline fuels speculation over summer exit
Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso is showing zero tolerance for indiscipline. On Sunday (10), Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos was fined after arriving late for training at Ciudad Deportiva, according to Defensa Central.
Players were expected to report at 9:30 a.m. (Madrid time), but Ceballos showed up eight minutes late. While the fine amount was not disclosed, the incident has raised fresh doubts over his future at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Ceballos’ Next Destination Could Be Real Betis
The 29-year-old, who has been linked with Saudi clubs, has no intention of leaving Europe. Instead, his priority is a return to Real Betis, the club where he developed before joining Real Madrid.
Although Betis have yet to make a formal offer, club president Florentino Pérez is reportedly ready to approve his sale in the coming days.
Real Madrid’s Asking Price
The Spanish giants are willing to negotiate and value Ceballos at €15 million (around R$94 million). Despite still having time left on his contract, the midfielder is not part of Alonso’s long-term plans.
A return to Betis would also reunite him with Brazilian Antony, who is reportedly keen on playing under Manuel Pellegrini.
