Bayer Leverkusen express interest in signing Brighton’s Facundo Buonanotte

Bayer Leverkusen is eyeing a move for Brighton midfielder Facundo Buonanotte, but the English club prefers to keep the 20-year-old Argentine on their books, considering only loan offers for now.
Buonanotte, contracted to Brighton until 2028, impressed during a loan spell at Leicester City last season and has since become part of Brighton’s long-term plans. Despite Bayer Leverkusen’s strong financial position, Brighton is unwilling to negotiate a permanent transfer, prioritizing loans ideally within the Premier League.
The player’s market value is estimated at around €20 million (approx. R$126.4 million), according to Transfermarkt. This, combined with Brighton’s stance, complicates Bayer Leverkusen’s pursuit of a permanent deal.
Borussia Dortmund has emerged as an alternative suitor, reportedly willing to agree to a loan deal that aligns with Brighton’s preference. Buonanotte is also said to favour a move to Dortmund, which could gain momentum if Leverkusen’s negotiations stall.
