Saudi club reaches verbal agreement with 22-year-old after standout Bundesliga season

Al-Ahli has secured a verbal agreement to sign Enzo Millot from Stuttgart, overtaking interest from top European clubs including Atlético de Madrid, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano. The 22-year-old midfielder impressed last season in the Bundesliga, drawing widespread attention from major clubs across Europe.

Millot had reportedly reached a salary agreement with Atlético, but the Spanish side failed to close the deal. Al-Ahli stepped in swiftly, submitting a proposal that convinced the player and his representatives.

Coach Jaissle Played Key Role in Deal

A crucial factor in the negotiations was the involvement of Al-Ahli head coach Matthias Jaissle, who personally advocated for the player’s signing. His direct participation in the talks helped sway Millot’s decision in favor of the Saudi club.

In addition, Al-Ahli’s management moved rapidly to advance the deal before Atlético could finalize their offer.

Tottenham Interest Did Not Materialize

While Tottenham Hotspur was mentioned as a possible destination, the Premier League club never submitted a formal offer to Stuttgart. This allowed Al-Ahli to gain further ground in the race for Millot’s signature.

Official Announcement Expected Soon

Although the transfer has yet to be formally announced, the verbal agreement signals that the deal is nearing completion. Al-Ahli is expected to confirm the signing in the coming days.

The addition of Enzo Millot reflects Al-Ahli’s ongoing strategy of attracting European talent to bolster its squad. The midfielder is anticipated to bring creativity and dynamism to the club’s midfield setup for the upcoming season.
