Boca Juniors star Kevin Zenón in advanced talks to join Olympiacos

Greek club offers €6 million for 80% of the midfielder’s rights; Boca yet to respond

Olympiacos has entered advanced negotiations with Boca Juniors to sign Argentine midfielder Kevin Zenón, according to journalist César Luis Merlo. The Greek side has submitted an official offer of €6 million for 80% of the player’s economic rights, as it looks to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season.

Zenón, 24, is under contract with Boca until December 31, 2028, and has impressed in recent months. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is around €9 million.

Olympiacos Leads Race Despite Previous Brazilian Interest

Before Olympiacos made its move, Brazilian side Corinthians had shown interest in April, closely monitoring the attacking midfielder’s performances. However, the price tag ultimately discouraged the club from making a formal offer.

Olympiacos has now taken the lead, hoping to close a deal swiftly before the European transfer window ends.

Boca Yet to Respond to Official Proposal

Boca Juniors is still analyzing the offer and has not yet issued a formal response. The Buenos Aires club holds 100% of Zenón’s rights and is carefully weighing the financial and sporting impact of a potential sale.

The negotiations are expected to evolve in the coming days, with a possible agreement before the window closes.

A Strategic Move from Olympiacos

The potential signing of Zenón fits Olympiacos’ recent strategy of targeting emerging talent from Argentina. The club has been increasingly active in the South American market, seeking players with high technical quality and resale potential.

Zenón has featured prominently for Boca Juniors since his arrival and is seen as a creative midfield asset capable of contributing immediately in Europe.
