Real Madrid rejects €75 million offer from Arsenal for Aurélien Tchouaméni

Spanish giants have no intention of selling the French midfielder; Rodrygo and Mendy could still leave this summer
Real Madrid have reportedly turned down a €75 million offer from Arsenal for midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni, according to Spanish outlet Defensa Central. The French international remains a key figure in Xabi Alonso’s project and is considered untouchable by the club’s management.
Tchouaméni, who can also operate as a central defender, is a regular starter and viewed as a cornerstone of Madrid’s long-term strategy. Club officials see no reason to part with a player of his caliber, especially with the new season fast approaching.
The rejection is also backed by the player’s own desire to stay in Spain. Despite interest from the Premier League, Tchouaméni is happy at Real Madrid and has no plans to leave the Santiago Bernabéu this summer.
Rodrygo’s Future Uncertain Amid Liverpool Interest
While Tchouaméni’s future appears settled, Brazilian forward Rodrygo may be heading for the exit. Reports from Somos Fanáticos suggest the 23-year-old has given Liverpool the green light to open negotiations. The winger has lost his starting role under new manager Xabi Alonso and is reportedly open to a Premier League switch.
Tottenham Hotspur are also interested, but Rodrygo is said to favor a move to a club with higher ambitions, placing Liverpool at the front of the queue.
Ferland Mendy Also Exploring Exit Options
Another player facing an uncertain future is left-back Ferland Mendy. Following the arrival of young Spanish full-back Carreras, Mendy has dropped to third in the pecking order. Together with his representatives, he is exploring opportunities in the transfer market, with Real Madrid open to facilitating his departure.
Upcoming Fixtures for Los Blancos
Real Madrid will not play any preseason friendlies this summer and will begin their La Liga campaign on August 19, when they host Osasuna at the Santiago Bernabéu. Xabi Alonso’s men will then face Oviedo and Mallorca, in a crucial early stretch as they look to establish dominance in the opening weeks of the season.
