Atlético de Madrid wants Renato Veiga and presents a million-dollar proposal to Chelsea

Atlético de Madrid have launched a million-euro bid to sign Portuguese midfielder Renato Veiga from Chelsea. The 20-year-old is no longer part of the Blues’ immediate plans, and the Spanish giants see this as an opportunity to reinforce their midfield ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Chelsea Open to Selling Renato Veiga
According to L’Équipe, Chelsea are looking to offload Renato Veiga permanently after loaning him out last season. Despite his potential, the midfielder is not expected to feature in Enzo Maresca’s plans, opening the door for a summer exit.
Atlético Madrid are reportedly leading the race and have already presented an offer for the youngster, valued at €35 million (R$228 million). The Blues rejected an initial bid but are now reviewing this improved proposal.
Atlético Focused on Midfield Reinforcements
With Diego Simeone keen to strengthen his midfield, Veiga has emerged as a top target for Atlético’s sporting department. The Argentine coach has publicly acknowledged that midfield is a priority area for reinforcement this summer.
The Colchoneros are hopeful that Chelsea will accept the latest proposal and allow Veiga to make the switch to La Liga, especially as other clubs have not yet entered the race.
