Speaking after the game, Spain coach Montse Tomé emphasized the team’s sharp finishing and attacking efficiency, acknowledging that the squad is not only creating chances but also converting them at a high level.
“The team is very effective and that gives us confidence,” Tomé said.
“We are creating a lot of chances, but above all, we are managing to convert them. The team is being precise.”
Tomé acknowledged Belgium’s defensive resistance early on but praised her team’s ability to take control of the match rhythm and push through to a convincing win.

Montse Tomé also addressed the condition of Aitana Bonmatí, who has been easing her way back into full fitness. According to the coach, the midfielder is eager to contribute more minutes but caution is the priority.
“If it were up to her, Aitana would play her best right now, but we need to be patient,” Tomé explained.
“She’s a key player for us. She will be 100%, but we must keep a cool head.”

Tomé also praised Alexia Putellas, who seems to be returning to her best form at just the right time.
“You can see that she is having fun. She’s delivered two great matches. I’m very happy for her and for all the players,” the coach added.
Putellas’ leadership and scoring touch have been central to Spain’s dominant Euro run so far.
