Bayern Munich eliminates Flamengo and reaches the quarterfinals of the World Club Cup

Flamengo even showed some reactions during the match against Bayern Munich, but made mistakes that were not forgiven by the Germans
The red-black dream of winning the world for the second time has been postponed again. Flamengo had the difficult mission of beating the German giant Bayern Munich this Sunday (29/6), in the round of 16 of the Club World Cup, but made a lot of individual mistakes and was defeated 4-2 at the Hard Rock Stadium , in Miami, in the United States.
The first half was a nightmare for Flamengo. In the first 10 minutes, the Brazilians made mistakes that resulted in two goals for Bayern. However, the red-and-black team did not give in, went forward and managed to reduce the deficit, but there was still time for the Germans to score the third and throw a bucket of cold water on the Rio de Janeiro team’s comeback.
The second half of the match was less frenetic, but had similar situations to the previous half. Flamengo even managed to reduce the deficit with a penalty goal, but again made defensive mistakes and allowed Bayern to score again.

The match had barely started when Flamengo suffered their first setback. In the fifth minute, Joshua Kimmich took a corner kick, and Pulgar headed the ball into his own goal, putting Bayern ahead on the scoreboard: 1-0.
The red-and-black team didn’t even have time to recover. At nine minutes, Arrascaeta lost the ball in midfield and saw Harry Kane hit an unstoppable shot into the goal defended by Rossi: 2-0.
At a disadvantage, the Brazilians tried to pressure Bayern’s ball out and tried to create danger on Neuer’s goal with build-ups on the wings, who made a spectacular save on a shot by Luiz Araújo. On the other hand, Flamengo continued to make mistakes in defense, which created chances for the Germans.
At 32′, the dream of a comeback gained even more strength. Luiz Araújo crossed into the area, and the ball fell to Gerson. The number 8 hit a powerful shot with his left foot, leaving Neuer with no chance: 2-1.
Shortly after, the bucket of cold water arrived. If Luiz Araújo had previously passed the ball to Gerson to score, at 41′ the forward, after taking the ball out of the red-black area, passed it directly to Goretzka. Bayern’s number 8 shot with precision and took advantage of a positioning error by Rossi to score: 3-1.
Second half
If Flamengo made a mistake in the first half, it was Bayern Munich who failed after the break. In the seventh minute, Arrascaeta tried to cross into the box, but the ball hit Olise’s arm, which was open. The referee then awarded a penalty. Jorginho stepped up to take the shot and hit it perfectly: 3-2.
With Bruno Henrique coming on, Flamengo started to look for the backs of Bayern’s defense, which was positioned high. The Germans tried to control the game through possession.
At a time when the match was taking place without much excitement, an individual error once again harmed the red-black team. Luiz Araújo, who had already failed to save the third goal, tried to dribble in front of his own area and lost the ball, which fell to Harry Kane. The center forward was lethal in front of Rossi: 4-2.
After the fourth German goal, the match slowed down. Flamengo stopped exerting high pressure and sought more counter-attacks. Bayern, on the other hand, continued to keep the ball, but with less impetus to score. The score, therefore, did not change again until the final whistle.
