Boca Juniors failed to beat Auckland City in the third and final round of the 2025 Club World Cup. This Tuesday, the clubs drew 1-1 and thus said goodbye to the competition, as they were both eliminated.
Nathan Garrou scored an own goal in the 26th minute to give Boca Juniors the lead. However, early in the second half, in the 52nd minute, Christian Gray scored Auckland City’s only goal of the 2025 Club World Cup. Jerson Lagos registered the assist.
The game was still interrupted due to the storm . Benfica vs Bayern Munich continued, as the 2025 Club World Cup regulations state that the other game does not have to stop. The Eagles finished in 1st place in Group C and are in the round of 16 of the competition.
