Italian team debuts with 5-0 win in Washington and leads Group G at the Club World Cup

Juventus made their Club World Cup debut with authority. With a dominant performance from start to finish, they beat Al Ain 5-0 this Wednesday (18), at Audi Field, in Washington, and took the lead in Group G, which also has Manchester City and Wydad Casablanca.
The Arab team tried to surprise with initial pressure, but Juventus showed organization and technical quality. In the 10th minute, Alberto Costa crossed from the right and Kolo Muani headed with precision to open the scoring.
Al Ain’s response came from a free kick by Kaku Romero, but that was all. In the 20th minute, in another move by Alberto Costa, Francisco Conceição took advantage of a rebound and shot with his left foot to score the second goal, with a deflection on the way.
Yildis, wearing the number 10 shirt, scored the third goal in the 30th minute: he controlled the ball outside the area, got past the marker and finished with class in the corner. In injury time, Thuram launched a pass from the defense and Muani appeared again, turning on Kouamé and tapping it in with class: 4-0 at the break.

Muani almost scored the sixth in the 20th minute, in another fast play led by Conceição, but was stopped by a good save from the goalkeeper.
In the final minutes, Al Ain had a rare chance with Chadli, who cleared the ball into the middle and shot low, but Di Gregorio saved it calmly. Douglas Luiz, who came on in the second half, also caused danger with two shots: the first just missed the corner, and the second hit the post.
With the victory, Juventus leads Group G with three points and a goal difference of five. City also won in the round , 2-0, and is in second place. Al Ain and Wydad occupy the last positions and will need to win in the next round to stay alive.
