Despite a debut goal from Semenyo, City blow a two-goal lead in London, leaving Arsenal six points clear at the top.

A classic “game of two halves” at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has shifted the momentum of the Premier League title race. Manchester City appeared to be cruising toward a vital victory, but a resilient Tottenham side fought back to secure a 2-2 draw, much to the delight of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

City’s Fast Start and Semenyo’s Impact

Pep Guardiola’s side dominated the opening 45 minutes. Rayan Cherki broke the deadlock in the 11th minute with a clinical finish, and the high-profile January signing Antoine Semenyo doubled the lead just before halftime. At 2-0, City looked poised to keep the pressure on the league leaders.

The atmosphere shifted completely after the break. Spurs found a lifeline through Dominic Solanke in the 63rd minute. The striker wasn’t finished, and just seven minutes later, he struck again to level the game at 2-2. Despite a frantic final stretch, City couldn’t find a winner, dropping two crucial points in the capital.

The Big Winners: Arsenal

With this result, Arsenal now hold a commanding six-point lead at the top of the table (53 points) following their 4-0 demolition of Leeds United.

Manchester City remains in second place with 47 points, benefiting only from Aston Villa’s shocking 1-0 home defeat to Brentford. Unai Emery’s side lacked efficiency, failing to score despite registering 25 shots (with only 16% accuracy on target).
