LONDON – Chelsea Women have once again proven their dominance in English football. Following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Manchester City on Wednesday night, the Blues secured their seventh consecutive FA Women’s League Cup final appearance.

The deciding moment came in the first half through Dutch talent Wieke Kaptein, whose clinical strike was enough to send the defending champions through. Chelsea will now face Manchester United in the grand final, after the Red Devils edged out Arsenal with an identical 1-0 scoreline in the other semi-final.

Bompastor: “The Ambition is Clear”

Despite the celebrations, manager Sonia Bompastor was quick to keep her squad grounded. Speaking to BBC Sport’s Emma Sanders, the French coach emphasized that the job is far from over.

“We always know what our ambitions are at the start of the season, and demonstrating them on the field is the most important thing,” Bompastor stated. “Now we need to put that behind us and focus on the final. We want to go into every game to compete and win.”

Heavyweight Clash Ahead

There is no time for Chelsea to rest. The Blues return to Women’s Super League (WSL) action this Saturday for a high-stakes London Derby against Arsenal. Kick-off is scheduled for 12:30 PM (UK time), a match that could have massive implications for the title race.
