Harry Kane appears set to commit his long-term future to Bayern Munich, with the striker giving a positive signal toward a contract extension that could run until 2029, despite ongoing links to a return to the Premier League.

Bayern and Kane Move Toward New Agreement

After three highly successful seasons in Germany, Kane is expected to remain at Bayern for several more years. According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, negotiations are already underway, with the club working on an extension that would keep the England captain in Munich until 2028 or 2029.

The player’s stance is clear: Kane is happy in Germany and wants to stay with the reigning Bundesliga champions, a factor that has significantly accelerated talks.

Bayern Plan Ahead While Talks Continue

While confidence is growing around a renewal, Bayern Munich are also acting cautiously. The club’s hierarchy is monitoring the transfer market to ensure they are not caught off guard in the unlikely event of Kane’s departure.

The striker’s past in the Premier League particularly his long spell at Tottenham has kept him on the radar of several English clubs, prompting Bayern to keep contingency plans in place.

Goal-Scoring Numbers Strengthen Bayern’s Case

Since arriving at Bayern, Kane has delivered elite-level numbers season after season. He scored 44 goals in 2023/24, followed by 41 goals in 2024/25, and has already recorded 30 goals in 25 appearances this season.

Those figures underline his importance to the squad and explain Bayern’s determination to secure his future amid continued external interest.

Kane Targets Peak Form for 2026 World Cup

At 32, Kane remains at the top of his game and is on track to reach the 2026 World Cup in peak condition. His consistency at Bayern positions him as one of England’s key figures heading into the tournament.

Trophies End Long-Standing Drought

Bayern Munich also marked a turning point in Kane’s career. After years of individual brilliance without silverware, the striker lifted the first major trophies of his career in Germany, winning the Bundesliga and the German Super Cup.

With contract talks progressing smoothly, Bayern and Kane appear aligned and a long-term extension could soon formalize one of European football’s most productive partnerships.
