Following the €35m arrival of Rayan, the Cherries have submitted an £18m bid for Inter Milan’s Luis Henrique to bolster their Premier League survival bid.

Bournemouth are not done yet. Just 24 hours after announcing the blockbuster signing of Rayan from Vasco da Gama, the English club has officially opened talks with Inter Milan for Luis Henrique. According to journalist Bruno Andrade (ESPN), the Cherries have tabled an initial loan offer with an option to buy valued at £18 million.

The “Samba” Connection at the Vitality

The plan for manager Andoni Iraola is clear: create a dynamic, Brazilian-led attacking line. While Rayan is seen as a versatile forward who can lead the line, Luis Henrique is being targeted to occupy the left wing, providing the pace and dribbling ability that became his trademark during his time at Marseille and Botafogo.

The “Diaby” Domino Effect

For the deal to go through, a specific “domino” needs to fall in Milan. Inter are reportedly willing to let Luis Henrique leave, but only if they secure a replacement first.

  • The Target: Inter are currently in advanced talks to sign Moussa Diaby from Al-Ittihad.
  • The Condition: If Diaby’s loan to San Siro is finalized before the January 31st deadline, the green light will be given for Luis Henrique to fly to England.

Luis Henrique’s Season in Numbers

After a quiet first year in Italy, the 24-year-old has seen more action this season under Simone Inzaghi:

  • Appearances: 23 matches (15 as a starter).
  • Role: Primarily used as a left-sided attacker or second striker.
  • Status: Looking for more consistent minutes to catch the eye of Brazil’s national team scouts.

Official: Rayan’s Arrival

Rayan joined Bournemouth yesterday for a fee of €35 million, signing a five-and-a-half-year contract until June 2031. He becomes the second-most expensive signing in the club’s history, highlighting the immense faith the Cherries’ board has in Brazilian talent.
