Arsenal have entered the race to sign Newcastle United right-back Tino Livramento, joining Manchester City in monitoring one of the Premier League’s standout defenders.

The 23-year-old has impressed with his consistent performances this season, attracting interest from several top clubs. According to TeamTalk, Arsenal are now direct competitors to Manchester City in the pursuit of Livramento, as the transfer battle for the England international begins to intensify.

Arsenal Enter the Tino Livramento Transfer Race

Arsenal’s interest comes amid reports that Manchester United have struggled to make progress in negotiations for the defender. As a result, the race has narrowed, with Arsenal and Manchester City emerging as the leading contenders for Livramento’s signature.

Highly regarded for both his immediate impact and long-term potential, Livramento fits the profile sought by clubs competing at the top of the Premier League. His athleticism, defensive awareness, and attacking contribution make him an attractive option for elite managers such as Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola.

Tino Livramento’s Rise in the Premier League

A product of Chelsea’s youth academy, Livramento quickly established himself as a top prospect. In 2021, he was named Chelsea Academy Player of the Year, earning widespread praise for his composure and maturity.

However, limited first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge prompted the defender to seek regular playing time elsewhere. In August 2021, Livramento completed a move to Southampton, where he gained valuable Premier League experience and elevated his reputation.

His performances eventually earned him a transfer to Newcastle United, where he has continued to develop and establish himself as one of the league’s most reliable full-backs.

Arsenal’s Assessment and Long-Term Plan

According to TeamTalk, Arsenal view Livramento as a strategic target and are closely monitoring his situation. While an immediate move during the current transfer window is considered unlikely, the club is expected to open discussions at a later stage.

Sporting director Andrea Berta and head coach Mikel Arteta reportedly value Livramento’s versatility, with the defender capable of operating effectively on both the right and left sides of the back line.

As competition for top defensive talent increases, Arsenal’s interest signals their intent to strengthen the squad with players who can contribute immediately while fitting the club’s long-term vision.
