With transfer windows still active in Turkey and Saudi Arabia, president Florentino Pérez views these markets as opportunities to balance the books by moving on players outside Alonso’s plans.

Besiktas Leading the Race
According to journalist Mustafa Özgür Sancar of Diario AS, Besiktas has made Asencio a top target. Negotiations are expected to intensify in the coming days as the Turkish side seeks to reach an agreement with both the player and Real Madrid.

Asencio is under contract with Real Madrid until June 2026. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is around €40 million (R$254 million)—a figure considered steep for Besiktas. Whether the Turkish side can structure a feasible deal remains uncertain.
Last season, Asencio made 46 appearances under Carlo Ancelotti, showcasing his durability and earning valuable minutes. However, his inconsistency, particularly in key matches, limited his long-term prospects under Alonso.
