Liverpool have completed the blockbuster signing of Alexander Isak, making the Swedish striker their marquee addition of the transfer window. The 24-year-old joins on a weekly salary of £250,000, placing him among the top earners at Anfield.

Salary Ranking at Liverpool

With his new deal, Isak becomes the third-highest paid player in Arne Slot’s squad:

  • Mohamed Salah – £400,000 per week
  • Virgil van Dijk – £350,000 per week
  • Alexander Isak – £250,000 per week
  • Alisson Becker – £150,000 per week

This puts the Swedish international ahead of Alisson, who had previously been among the club’s best-paid stars.

Isak’s Profile and Expectations

Liverpool secured Isak after he delivered an outstanding season, scoring 27 goals in all competitions, with 23 in the Premier League. The new No. 9 is expected to become a central figure in Slot’s attack alongside Salah.

Standing 1.92m tall, Isak combines physical presence with lethal finishing, making him a constant threat inside the box. His ability to score with minimal touches has been one of his trademarks.

Battle for His Signature

Liverpool faced strong competition to land the striker. Barcelona, PSG, and even Saudi side Al-Hilal had explored signing Isak, but the Anfield project and the promise of a starring role convinced him to choose the Premier League leaders.

Liverpool’s Transfer Spending

The Reds have been one of the most aggressive clubs in the summer market, spending £449 million on reinforcements. After generating £262 million from player sales, their net outlay sits at around £180 million.
