Estêvão celebrates surprising start to Chelsea career with support from manager Enzo Maresca

Young Brazilian striker Estêvão is off to a surprising start at Chelsea, already making a mark in the Premier League with three appearances and one assist.
Strong start in England
Discovered at Palmeiras, Estêvão revealed in an interview with GE, via Fabrizio Romano, that the trust and opportunities from manager Enzo Maresca have been crucial to his early success.
“I’m very happy because I’m already getting opportunities at Chelsea, more than I expected. Hard work and dedication in training always pay off. Maresca has a lot of confidence in me to play, even in a new country and league,” said the 18-year-old striker.
Adapting quickly to European football
Despite the challenges of moving to a new country, culture, and league, Estêvão feels his transfer to Stamford Bridge was the right decision.
“Chelsea is incredible, it was a perfect choice! I love Chelsea, I love London, I don’t think it could be better,” he added.
National team breakthrough
Estêvão’s strong performances in England have also impacted his career with the Brazilian national team. Called up by Carlo Ancelotti, he scored his first goal for the Seleção against Chile and is expected to start in the upcoming match against Bolivia.
Eyes on the 2026 World Cup
The young star hopes to be part of Brazil’s squad for a potential sixth World Cup title in 2026. With both Maresca and Ancelotti trusting his talent, Estêvão is already being closely monitored by the national team coaching staff.
