Al-Nassr is counting on Cristiano Ronaldo’s influence in its pursuit of Rafael Leão for €100 million

Al-Nassr has submitted a €100 million (R$634 million) bid for AC Milan star Rafael Leão and is counting on Cristiano Ronaldo’s influence to complete what could be one of the biggest surprises of the Saudi transfer window.
Al-Nassr pushes late for Rafael Leão
With the Saudi Arabian market still open until September 11, Al-Nassr is making a last push to bring in the 26-year-old forward. According to reports in Spain, the Saudi club believes the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo could be decisive in convincing Leão to accept a move away from European football.
So far, both Leão and AC Milan appear resistant. The Portuguese striker wants to remain at the top level in Europe, while the Rossoneri consider him a cornerstone of their long-term project.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s influence as a bargaining chip
Inside Al-Nassr, optimism rests on Ronaldo’s ability to persuade his younger compatriot. The idea of playing alongside his idol—and under fellow Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus—is seen as a potential turning point. The presence of João Félix, another compatriot, could further sweeten the deal, offering Leão the chance to form a Portuguese attacking trio in Saudi Arabia.
Journalist Nacho Domínguez reported that people close to Leão are already aware of the offer, but his agents will only act after gauging the player’s wishes.
Milan stands firm
For Milan, the offer represents a significant test. Losing Leão would be a major blow, especially after rejecting earlier inquiries from Liverpool and other European clubs. The Rossoneri view him as irreplaceable, with his contract making him the highest-profile player in their squad.
